We're Unleashing a Revolution of Love in Central Kentucky

Tim Aulick

Why be an elder at Southland?
I have passion and compassion for the hurting and broken. We are all hurting and broken. I love the fact the majority of “church” is done outside the walls of Southland. We are outwardly focused and not inwardly.
When and how did you first come to Southland?
In 1996 I was finishing up my freshman year at UK. I did not go home every weekend for church so my brother invited me to Southland.
What’s your daily routine like of connecting with God?
I begin each day and continue throughout the day with conversations with God. I realize I can’t do life alone. When I lean on him he makes me strong.I read through several verses i have posted on my desktop (yes i still have a desktop). My favorite is II Corinthians 12:9.
What’s your favorite area to serve in at Southland?
My favorite is with prayer and baptism. It the most authentic time with people say “I need Jesus”!!
What’s your life group or Biblical community like?
On Monday morning a group of guys get together to pray, lean on each other, and study Gods word. Also, Danville campus has a group of men that get together for authentic community. It’s a time of tears and celebration. If are the men God created us to be the world will never look the same.
What’s your wife’s name and kids’ names/ages (include grandkids) and how long have you been married?
I’ve been married for 16 years to my sweetheart, Dawayna Aulick. We have 4 kids: Kylee (14), Ashlyn (12), Kennedy (11), and Colton (9).
What do you do for a living?
I am a chemist and President of Aulick Chemical Solutions.
What do you do for fun?
I love the outdoors. Hunting, fishing and camping. As a family our goal is to visit and camp in all 59 National Parks in the US before Kylee graduates high school. Amazing to see God’s creation.
What’s one book that has impacted you?
Future Men. A great friend of mine gave me the book.
What’s something God’s been teaching you lately?
That God is full of grace and truth at the same time. That God has blessed me with the greatest wife. That I am not enough. That God is. What a day that will be...
