Fall 2009, my freshman year of college
What's one thing people don't know about you?
Only girl of four older brothers.
What was your childhood ambition?
To be a nurse.
What's something God's been teaching you lately you didn't know before?
God has been reteaching me how to slow down and say no. I always want to go and be for everyone, so he has been working on me in truly resting and being ok with my no’s.
One of your proudest moments?
Getting this job at Southland. This has been a dream/prayer for so long.
What is your definition of a retreat?
Being away from everyday life. Unplugging from technology, and relaxing in a cabin in the mountains, by a lake or beach.
What brought you to Southland?
While attending Asbury University I heard friends talking about this thing called 608. I decided to try it out and instantly fell in love with the church and the work it does. I got involved my third year of college helping out in the nursery.
What kept you here?
Getting involved and the community of friends that I have gained over the years. God has put me at Southland for a reason. If it had not been for the community of support through Southland I would not be where I am now.
Your most memorable experience?
Seeing Michael Bublé in concert.
What inspires you?
Knowing that God has called me to something bigger than myself. Helping others, and seeing God work out what others would call impossible.
Your favorite snack?
Crunk n’ Munch...the whole box!
If you could vacation anywhere...where would you go?
Greece
What's your biggest challenge?
Facing conflict.
Who lives in your house?
My roommate, her cat, Mr. Darcy, and dog Chester.
