Why be an elder at Southland?
Asked to serve. I love what God is doing in and through SCC. Being on a great team of leaders and Godly influences. Humbling experience.
When and how did you first come to Southland?
1996. Invited by a friend.
What’s your daily routine like of connecting with God?
morning reading and prayer. Conversation throughout my day. Journaling on occasion.
What’s your favorite area to serve in at Southland?
Prayer team, marriage mentors. Open to new areas of service.
What’s your life group or Biblical community like?
long time group of friends. Nothing on a scheduled regular basis... Also have a thursday morning group of young guys that invest in each other.
What’s your wife’s name and kids’ names/ages (include grandkids) and how long have you been married?
Michelle, Ryan 25, Sarah Beth 23, Taylor 22….28yrs
What do you do for a living?
President of an insurance agency.
What do you do for fun?
spend time with friends, multiple sports activities, anything outdoors.

most recently….”Fight” by Craig Groeschel. Every guy needs to read this...
What’s something God’s been teaching you lately?
Just more of him and less of me on a daily basis. Reflect on his faithfulness throughout my life when I lack faith or have fear.
