Your first job?
I was a salad bar girl at Western Sizzlin.
What's your favorite T.V. series?
The Amazing Race
Favorite season, and why?
I love any season that features teams from Kentucky.
What's one book that has impacted you?
Through Gates of Splendor by Elisabeth Elliot. I read it along with The End of the Spear by Steve Saint. The faith of these missionaries, their families and how the death of these brave and faithful men brought many tribe members to Christ, is one of the most amazing stories.
Most recent purchase?
Two yellow labrador retriever puppies.
What's one thing people don't know about you?
A year before I graduated from college, I decided I would rather be a Geologist but it was too late to pursue that degree.
What's something God's been teaching you lately you didn't know before?
Pain and struggles are God’s boot camp for preparing me for His will and purpose for my life.
One of your proudest moments?
Helping to baptize my boyfriend (now husband), Ray. It was the greatest joy of my life.
What brought you to Southland?
I saw The Southland Hour on TV one Sunday morning and heard Mike Breaux teach.
What kept you here?
The great teaching and the love this church has for the community.
What inspires you?
When I watch the Food Network, especially baking shows, I want to make everything I see.
