When did you first come to Southland?
I was about 11 years old when my family and I started coming to Southland… we fell right into place.

What's one thing people don't know about you?
When I get really hyper and excited, I’ll start talking in a British accent just for fun. Don’t ask me why...

What was your childhood ambition?
I wanted to be an elementary school teacher… then the Lord used my Dad to help me see I want to serve people beyond the classroom.

What's something God's been teaching you lately you didn't know before?
How uncertainty can be a guiding a light-- trusting Him DAILY is a choice; trust cannot be based on feeling.

Your role at SCC?
I am the Local Outreach Coordinator at our Richmond Road Campus (shoutout to Janelle and Gordon… the Lord used these two to lead me to this blessing!) I now lead Serve the City - Woodhill Monday nights where we just get to love people and show them the love of Christ!

One of your proudest moments?
My best friend Lizz married her husband David McConeghey in June 2015. Literally two weeks later, my childhood best friend, Sarah married her husband Jordan Steffianiak in Virginia. So proud to have stood by them on the most important day of their lives.

A time of refreshment, away from your typical norm and setting-- very intentional time with the Lord.

What brought you to Southland?
The messages… Jon has a gift in teaching! (but everyone knows that)

What kept you here?
The people-- it's passion for the Lord and serving others.

Your most memorable experience?
Moving to South Africa at 21 years old to intern as a social worker and work with victims of abuse. It was very challenging and Kingdom-driven work.

People who take risks and like to challenge themselves.

If you could vacation anywhere...where would you go?
The Caribbean! Give me the beach!

What's your biggest challenge?
Right now it is juggling being a full-time grad school student, working, completing an internship, and taking care of my family. I’m a busy-bee :)
