Favorite season, and why?
I love summer time simply because family life seems a little more easy going.
What's one book that has impacted you?
Most recently, Unleader by Lance Ford was a great read for me. For all the time in the last decade that I have spent studying leadership, this book was a great reminder that leadership in the kingdom of God begins with service and humility.
What's one thing people don't know about you?
In elementary school I dressed up as a Ghost Buster™ for Halloween two years in a row—despite the fact that I had never seen the movie.
What was your childhood ambition?
To be an actor or a comedian. Or if that didn’t pan out, to do voice overs for cartoon characters.
What's something God's been teaching you lately you didn't know before?
Lately God has been showing me that grace is greater than I can ever truly grasp.
One of your proudest moments?
Baptizing my two children.
What is your definition of a retreat?
Good books, good food, good scenery, good company.
What brought you to Southland?
My wife and I sensed God calling us to a new ministry, and the excitement of being part of a new campus launch with the #BestTeamOnThePlanet
What's your biggest challenge?
Adjusting to life as a foster parent.
Who lives in your house?
My wife, Erica; our two children, Evan and Elysia; and a beautiful new baby in our foster care.
