Lifeguard at White Mills Christian Camp.

The Bachelor….I know, I know...I’m 43-years old and I don’t care..I know it’s horrible but I love it!
Favorite season, and why?
Fall - two words Football and sweaters!
What's one book that has impacted you?
Blue Like Jazz.
Most recent purchase?
Another new watch. I kind of have a watch problem.
When did you first come to Southland?
1991 as a freshman at the University of Kentucky.
What's one thing people don't know about you?
I once ate over 70 raw oysters in one sitting.
What was your childhood ambition?
To be a dentist and a professional kick boxer.
What's something God's been teaching you lately you didn't know before?
To be still and listen and He will take care of everything.
Your role at SCC?
Communications Director.
One of your proudest moments?
Following God’s calling and accepting a position at Southland.
What is your definition of a retreat?
Sitting on the beach in a comfy beach chair and falling asleep.
What brought you to Southland?
Back in the early 90’s, the then middle school minister, Brandon Stakelbeck asked me to volunteer. I did and Southland has been part of my life ever since.
What kept you here?
The community and support you receive at Southland is like no other place in the world.
Your most memorable experience?
Spending an evening with my then girlfriend, now wife, catching lightning bugs in one of the fields on the back of Southland’s property.
What inspires you?
Your favorite snack?
Ruffles with Fritos Bean Dip.
If you could vacation anywhere...where would you go?
Japan. I’m fascinated with their culture and food.
What's your biggest challenge?
Who lives in your house?
My wife Sally, my daughter Lily, my son Harrison and a dog named Derby.
