The Big Picture Show at Southland connects kids to Christ and partners with parents for full spiritual transformation.
Here at Southland we call our Children’s Ministry the Big Picture Show because we want to help kids find their place in God’s big story. It’s our goal to partner with parents to help kids discover that God’s story can be their story too. Each of our age-appropriate children’s environments feature blockbuster worship, show-stopping storytelling, and a red carpet Life Group experience where they will build relationships for a lifetime.
Animation Station
Age: 3yrs-Pre-K
Focus: Helping kids to discover a relationship with God.
Animation Station is God’s art studio where kids discover they are God’s masterpiece, one-of-a-kind creation. All of the art supplies on the Animation Station stage are gigantic because we want kids to know that God is a big artist who used tons of creativity to make each of them special.
The Drive-in
Grade: Kindergarten-2nd
Focus: Helping kids build a faith-filled community.
The Drive-In is the fun place you go to hang out with your friends. In the Drive-In kids not only continue to discover a God who loves them, but will now take their first real steps into community. Kids at this age are ready to see how their relationship with God plays out in faith-filled friendships with others.
The Backlot
Grade: 3rd-5th
Focus: Challenging kids to live out their faith each week.
In the Backlot, kids aren’t just watching God’s story, but they’re going backstage to be a part of making the movie themselves. The Backlot takes the foundation of a relationship with God and other believers and sends kids out to focus on their relationship with the world through loving and serving those who don’t know Jesus.
