Three Reasons You Need To Go To Haiti
Is God doing some cool things in your life? In your family, friendships, or workplace? Have you seen Him move memorably during your time at Southland? Guess what? God is doing amazing things all over the world. And one place God has blessed Southland to get to serve as part of His work in our world is the tiny island country of Haiti.
Living in one of the poorest nations in the Western Hemisphere, over 80% of Haitians live at or below poverty level. Haiti is one of the most densely populated and least developed countries in the world. The country is still recovering from the massive earthquake they suffered seven years ago.
Some people would say these three facts are a good reason to ask, “Why would anyone want to go there?” But here are are three simple reasons you need to go to Haiti with us…
1) It's time for a change of scenery.
2) It will change your view of the world around you.
3) It will change your life.
Your campus leader, Brian Lucas, will be leading a team down to Ouanaminthe, Haiti, on March 4 -11, 2017. This is your chance to go and grow, to be and see where SOUTHLAND serves on the mission field and generously extends hope in our world. Join Brian this Sunday, January 8, for an informational meeting at 1pm in the front lobby of the Danville Campus to learn more about his trip. Come discover how you can be the hands and feet of Christ and share with others in Haiti.
